  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid student visa
  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited U.S. university, college, or school
  • Must be a student/enrollee of Plastics Engineering Technology or other related studies.


  1. The applicant must write a 300-word essay on one of the following topics:
    • What are the environmental impacts of plastic manufacturing and molding processes, including pollution, waste management challenges, and potential solutions?
    • What are the effective strategies and initiatives to reduce plastic waste in the manufacturing sector, such as recycling, circular economy models, and alternative materials?
    • How effectively are the regulatory frameworks and policies governing plastic manufacturing and molding industries addressing environmental concerns? What are potential areas for improvement?
    • What does the future hold for plastic manufacturing and molding? What are the emerging trends, technological advancements, sustainable practices, and potential shifts in consumer preferences?
  2. Submit your entries to scholarship@polyshot.us as an attached PDF file, along with the applicant’s full name, address, contact information, school/university, and date of birth.

  • One submission per person is allowed, and you must be able to prove your eligibility. The awardee will be chosen based solely on the originality and content of their essay contribution.
  • All approved contributions will be subjected to an AI writing detection tool’s processing, and any essays created using this tool will be disqualified.
  • Please comply with the criteria above to avoid automatic disqualification.
  • The winner will be notified through an email on or before the 3rd of January 2024 and shall acknowledge it upon receipt. Failing to do so, another applicant will be selected.
